why this product

One of the most ubiquitous styles of the 1950’s and 1960’s, these frames remain an iconic design to this day. Balanced to rest easily and snugly on your face, with arms that fit comfortably on the ear and lightly hug the head, they’re a far cry from the flimsy, mass-produced imitations you’ll find crowding gas station racks. Instead of slipping and sliding off your face should you break a sweat, the adjustable silicone nose pads provide enhanced security and comfort. Not too dark and not too light, grey polarized lenses protect your eyes by reducing glare and offering 100% UV protection. One of this company’s most enduringly popular versions of the browline frame, a style first introduced in the 1940’s, these sunglasses combine a classic silhouette with a serious commitment to craftsmanship. Built to last using only the highest quality parts and materials, they are assembled by hand in Greenville, SC by one of the longest continuously operating manufacturers of its kind in America.

use & care

As with any high quality pair of spectacles, these sunglasses should be stored in a protective case, such as the Mahogany Leather Eyeglasses Case, when not in use. Should the lenses or frames become smudged or soiled, clean using a microfiber cloth and eyeglass-cleansing solution.

production & design

Since 1865, Shuron has been producing fine quality opticals and sunglasses. In fact, the company name itself originated during the era when pince nez frames were still all the rage, when Shuron's version were marketed with the promise that they would stay "sure on"? your nose. With a special attention to fit and detail, you can rest assured that these sunglasses will live up to the name. All of Shuron's frames remain staunchly American-made, using only highest quality materials, hinges and hardware. These sunglasses are assembled by hand in their factory in Greenville, SC, and are backed by almost 150 years worth of satisfied customers (as well as a one year manufacturing warranty against any defects.)
