Originally made to keep miniature bonsai trees tidy and immaculate, this small broom will keep workshop surfaces tidy and free of surface- and mind-cluttering debris. The stiff bristles brush away larger bits rather than soft dust. Use it to clean up eraser rubbings, bits of cut paper, carved remains from woodcuts, sawdust, leather scraps, snipped threads and other scattered fragments. Each of the fine palm fibers are carefully lined up then bound with metal wire to form a handle that fans out into the broom bristles. Its simple, traditional design feels like neatness itself — in case you need the inspiration to keep your workspace well-tended.
Keep this around desks, craft tables and workshops. Use it like you would a broom. This is made from palm fiber, so it won't disintegrate at the first brush with moisture, but best not to get it soaking wet, and let it air dry completely if it does.
These sorts of brushes are used all over Japan to keep the forests of tiny, potted bonsai trees tidy and immaculate. This broom does what larger ones do, except in miniature, cleaning up tiny pruned branches and the smallest leaves, and leveling out square-inch patches of topsoil.
A small hand broom of stiff palm fibers bound with metal wire. Originally used for keeping tiny, potted bonsai forests well-swept, this broom is great for keeping work spaces tidy. Made in Japan.
