An orange cat in a big red bow bats at a cherry with her paw in this serigraph by Igor Galanin, c. 1985. Scattered around her are more cherries and a pear. Galanin was born in Soviet Russia and began his career by illustrating children's books. He eventually moved to the United States in 1983 where he became known for his surreal, naive-style art style influenced by Richard Lindner, Max Ernst and Marc Chagall. This serigraph is signed and numbered in pencil, edition: 100. It is offered unframed.
