The Park Plate collection features notable urban parks and gardens from around the world. The first park series showcases New York City's Central Park, the first large-scale public space in the United States. Each of the four plates highlights a different segment of the Park: the Sheep Meadow, the Great Lawn, the Reservoir, and the North Meadow. Featured landmarks from the surrounding urban environs include the Central Park Zoo, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the American Museum of Natural History, and the Guggenheim Museum. Trees, pathways and bodies of water are articulated to convey the landscape design and help trigger people’s memories of where they may have strolled, taken a bike ride, or picnicked.
Made in Poland.
Details: While the color palette and graphic language coordinate with existing City Plate collection, the Garden Plates focus on the contrast between the organic elements of the highlighted park and the surrounding urban context. 12-inch diameter. Porcelain. Dishwasher- and microwave-safe. Each plate is gift boxed with a printed key. Use as dinner plates, serving plates, or as a decorative piece. Designed in Los Angeles.
