Old rust and paint have been removed and a durable, long-lasting powder coating has been added. Shelves are made of plywood in oak, walnut and smoked oak for a truly unique and beautiful home bar experience.
Story behind "The Jerry Can"
As many of today's unique designs, Jerry Cans also originate from a time with limited resources and a necessity to create successful designs. One of the truly important historic transportation products is the Jerry Can - a nickname created by the British and US forces. A "JERRY" was used as a slang term for Germans during WWII. Thereby the name A Jerry Can. The originally can name was "Wehrmacht-Einheitskanister" for "armed forces unit canister".
Danish Fuel is created by collecting used Military Jerry Cans and upcycle them into storage designs - an exclusive lifestyle products. The design was absolutely brilliant an ahead of it´s time. It could be stacked efficiently, and had three handles making it easy to carry everywhere. The Can that won the World War II. In the end, more than 200 factories were manufactoring Jerry Cans throughout WWII. Specifications for the Wehrmachtkanister: capacity of 20L Empty weight 4kg could withstand 50 degrees of celcious cam-lock top simple construction of two pressed metal plates.
