Each one-of-a-kind shoulder bag is made with patchwork antique hand-embroidered cotton and silk textiles, incorporating mirror embellishment and burnished rupee coins. Featuring magnetic closure, black canvas lining and a black bolo braided italian leather strap, this gorgeous accessory can be worn on the shoulder or cross-body. Named after the thin blown-glass mirror pieces in Tem Jal bags called shisha—meaning 'little glass' in Hindi—this piece is truly unique. Due to their fabulous origin, each bag may differ oh-so slightly from the main image shown.
Made in India. Features a 24 inch/60.9 centimeter strap drop.
Shisha come in a variety of sizes, which are encased in the decoration of fabric with a buttonhole stitch. Before glass, pieces of mica were used as mirrors when Shisha first originated as an ornamentation method in Persia during the 13th century.
