Il Buco’s annual Sagra del Maiale (festival of the pig) is a neighborhood tradition commemorating the Autumn Equinox. Neighbors, friends and family alike line up early for a buffet of all things pig, including porchetta panini, apple pork sausages and apple ricotta fritters. Recreate your favorite recipes at home with this traditional terracotta casserole dish or "tegami", produced in the Marche region of Italy. Made exclusively by hand on the potter’s wheel, these clay pieces are finished in non-toxic crystalline glazes and heat evenly for perfect stews, ragouts, soups and roasts.
Made in Italy. Traditional Terracotta Pig Roaster. Crafted with terracotta. To use, casserole and top must be immersed fully in water for 24 hours before first use to set terracotta. Can be placed directly into hot oven. Not recommended for stove top use. Hand wash with mild soap.
