Ryan Weigner of Loaded Objects Ceramics received an BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, where an obsession with process drew him to clay, specifically reproducing found objects using plaster molds and slip casting. Of his gun lamps he says, “By reducing these objects to their three-dimensional shape and then translating them into clay, I mesh unlikely forms together and create visually seductive and thought provoking pieces.”
