Description

"Painting to Shake Hands" was created exclusively for Sedition by legendary Yoko Ono, originally filmed for the 2012 exhibition, Into the Light, at the Serpentine Gallery in London. The work references a specific instruction from her book Grapefruit, published in 1964. Here, the artist's hand appears through a bare piece of canvas, beckoning its viewer to join hands with hers.
