Vaguely resembling a motorcycle jacket, this cropped number is so much more; it's crafted of indigo-dyed cotton damask fabric traditionally used for baby carriers and blankets in China. Part of the womenswear project from Angel Chang, focused on the traditional fabrics of the Miao and Dong minorities, this jacket took one month to weave in Hongzhou Village. The symbolic iconography of zig-zag lines and geometric birds tells the migration of the indigenous people across China over the last millennium.
Handmade in China. Indigo-dyed damask fabric jacket. Available in XS: Size 2-4, S: Size 4-6, M: Size 6-8 and L: Size 8-10. It is shown here with shorts that are sold separately.
