This sculpture, which doubles as a table, is an artistic expression inspired by a pile of short chunks of pine found in a Queens basement. The steel, which started out as large sheets, have been cut and welded together to form hollow blocks. The pieces were then connected with mortise and tendon joinery. Functional and beautiful, it is also known as Boogie's Bank.
Reclaimed Pine. Built in Brooklyn. One of a kind. Can be unbolted and taken apart for easy transport.
