My Dad left Italy and settled in Brooklyn in the late 1940s. An entrepreneur through and through, his eclectic life and passion for business and creativity made clearing out his office when I lost him an interesting task... Hiding in this Brooklyn building, I opened the door to what I thought was a closet and found instead, an entire warehouse containing the last ~5,000 models of a unique invention called “the Unimatic” coffee pot that he owned the patent on, had made in Italy and sold them from this very spot over 50 years ago - they're the last original Unimatics in the world!
Caffè Unimatic, Inc.
from New York, NY
Remember when the ritual of morning coffee was sacred? It is again - reintroducing the Unimatic. Conceived in Brooklyn, born in Italy.
