Bloom Blanket is a design project rooted in the exploration of relationships between memory, art and math. Each blanket is made with an Italian cashmere and wool blend—created specifically for the subtleties of this design—and takes five hours to cut, sew and finish. After experimenting with many patterns, tessellations and prototypes, creator Bianca Costanzo arrived at a construction made of 180 triangles that forge three-dimensional pyramids.
