Geoffrey Parker was founded in 1958 in Hertfordshire, England, as a bookbinder. By the early 1960s, the family-run company had turned to making handcrafted games, a category it soon came to dominate. A Geoffrey Parker chess set was used in the greatest match ever played, between Boris Spassky and Bobby Fischer. The company is proud of its commitment to British design and craftsmanship.
