Ketzali's eco-friendly scarves are hand-woven by independent artisans and women's co-ops in Guatemala, where the company is based. Each scarf is handcrafted using old-fashioned looms and colored with low-impact natural dyes from sources like walnuts, dahlias, blackberries and chamomile—a process which produces less waste water and has a minimal impact on the environment. As the final component of its sustainable mission, Ketzali uses only recycled paper tags, boxes and tissue paper when packaging every scarf.
