Los Angeles-based designer Rey Herrera launched Chilanthropy in 2011 to make high quality scented candles that were eco-friendly and ethically-conscious. That's why his candles use organic denim twill wicks and EcoSoya—a natural, non-toxic, pesticide- and herbicide-free soy wax that allows candles to burn evenly and longer without soot buildup. That's also why the company donates five percent of all proceeds to various charities and non-profit organizations. And because each Chilanthropy creation is inspired by a different city that Herrera has visited on his travels around the world, these candles have complex scent profiles that are unlike anything else on the market.
